On Thursday, March 27, a Summit on Peace and Security for Ukraine is being held in Paris, with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, and representatives from 30 allied countries.

This meeting aims to strengthen international coordination and lay the groundwork for a common long-term strategy — military, economic, and humanitarian — in support of Ukraine.

It follows ongoing discussions to finalize security guarantees for Ukraine, in the context of Russia’s war of aggression, and in anticipation of the country’s reconstruction and the establishment of a just and lasting peace.

The day before, during his visit to Paris, Volodymyr Zelensky held a joint press conference with Emmanuel Macron entitled “Building a Lasting Peace for Ukraine and for Europe.”

On this occasion, France announced an additional €2 billion in aid to Ukraine.
This new military assistance package will include anti-tank Milan missiles, air defense systems, including Mica missiles and Mistral surface-to-air missiles.

“Military support is necessary to continue the resistance.”
— Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic

President Zelensky also gave an exclusive interview to several European media outlets, broadcast on France 2 on Wednesday evening after the 8 p.m. news, and picked up internationally.
In it, he reaffirmed the determination of the Ukrainian people and emphasized the importance of European support in this fight for freedom, peace, and the security of the continent.

In honor of President Zelensky’s visit and as a symbol of solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the Eiffel Tower was illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
