As part of the Babylon Villeneuve project, we are pleased to invite you to a screening of the documentary ‘A Day in Ukraine’, produced by the prestigious Babylon’13 collective, at the Cinéma Nouvel Odéon in the 6th arrondissement of Paris!
🎞️ This film, directed by Volodymyr Tykhyy, takes place in Ukraine on a single day: March 14, 2022.
It marks the 2944th day of Russia’s aggressive war in Ukraine. Over the past three weeks, the full-scale Russian invasion has created a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Thousands of Kyiv residents have relocated to subway stations. The previously calm suburbs of the capital have become battlegrounds of destruction and looting by Russian occupiers.
The concept of “traditional” time no longer exists. People no longer talk about “working days” or “weekends,” but rather the number of days since February 24th…
The film follows the lives of a pop music star, a video engineer, a historian, an art restorer, a polar researcher, and a retiree, all of whom have been forced to radically change their lives.
