As part of the Babylon Villeneuve project, we’re delighted to invite you to a screening of the documentary “Le Kilomètre”, directed by the prestigious Ukrainian collective Babylon’13, at the Espace Saint-Michel cinema in Paris’s 5th arrondissement!
🎞️ Synopsis: In February 2022, Roman Liubyi works as a videographer for a drama production in London. When the Russian army invades the Kyiv region, he decides to return to his family in Irpin, which quickly becomes a battlefield.
🇺🇦 🏚️ With thousands of civilians, including his wife, parents and 9-year-old daughter, hiding in basements cut off from the rest of the country by the Russian invaders, Roman joins an aerial reconnaissance unit tasked with mapping enemy movements and helping those living under occupation, with no possibility of evacuation.
Thanks to his drone, Roman manages to get closer to his home and loved ones, although in reality, a world separates them.
