After hospitals, sports complexes, educational institutions, supermarkets, and post offices…
On Thursday, September 19, Russia targeted a geriatric nursing home in the Sumy region of Ukraine, causing at least one death and injuring 12 others.
Civilian infrastructure continues to be targeted!
According to Governor Volodymyr Artyukh, more than 200 people were in the nursing home at the time of the bombing. Volunteers immediately stepped in to assist the elderly residents.
In recent days, the Russian military has intensified attacks on critical infrastructure in the Sumy region, using missiles, bombs, and drones.
Electricity and water supplies in Sumy have since been cut off, further worsening the situation for residents.
Europe must act by providing stronger support for Ukraine’s defense. It is urgent to authorize Ukraine to strike Russian military installations with long-range missiles to prevent these deadly attacks!
