At a historic session, Members of the European Parliament recognized Russia as a ‘state sponsor of terrorism’, and requested the Council to place the Wagner Group on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations. 494 Members of the European Parliament voted in favour of this decision, so fundamental for all victims of the Kremlin. Stand with Ukraine was present at this exceptional moment which acknowledged the devastation wrought by the Russian invasion of Ukraine since February 24.

This resolution is an important contribution to recognizing the crimes perpetrated against the Ukrainian people and the hybrid war that Russia and its mercenaries are conducting against Europe on all continents. This recognition of the terrorist character of Russia’s methods and aims means that it is now entirely logical that European societies increase their assistance to Ukraine until the Kremlin’s plans are defeated. Our association will continue to support Ukraine in France, and is now mobilized for Russia to be recognized as a terrorist state, and the Wagner Group as a terrorist group, by the French National Assembly.
