New meeting between Gennevilliers and Trostyanets

As part of the Mayors’ Congress, Yuriy Bova, Mayor of Trostyanets, visited Gennevilliers to mark a new chapter in the partnership already established between the two communities. Gennevilliers, as a partner city, has previously hosted two groups of Ukrainian children.Welcomed by Patrice Leclerc, Mayor of Gennevilliers, and local officials, Yuriy Bova discussed actions already undertaken, including the youth stays organized for teenagers from Trostyanets. Franco-Ukrainian partnerships: Ukrainian mayors visit their partner cities in France

During the Mayors’ Congress in Paris, a delegation of 46 Ukrainian mayors and deputies spent three days in France, supported by Stand With Ukraine, Cities4Cities, the Association of French Mayors, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This visit allowed them to meet their French counterparts, share expertise, and lay the groundwork for new cooperation projects.Several mayors took the opportunity to strengthen ties with their French partner cities, some of which were established remotely. The mayors of Pokrovsk, Slavutych, Burshtyn, and Trostyanets visited Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne, Franconville, Sorbiers, and Gennevilliers, respectively, to solidify existing relationships. Ukrainian children welcomed in Paris by the 18th Arrondissement’s Town Hall

For the second time, children from the Podil district in Kyiv had the opportunity to spend a few days away from the war, hosted in Paris’s 18th arrondissement.
