According to revelations by the media outlet 'La Lettre ' published on October 24, 2024, the Mulliez Group, owner of Auchan, is in advanced negotiations to sell its 230 stores in Russia. Gazprombank, the bank of Russian gas giant Gazprom, with close ties to the Kremlin, is said to be the local buyer. This potential takeover is by no means a coincidental move: Auchan merely wishes to escape the sanctions and “exit tax ” imposed on Western companies intending to leave the country.

The training of 12 Marioupol apprentices in cooking, baking, pastry-making and catering with Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx and his team has begun!This is a crucial step towards the creation of La Cantine de Marioupol in Dnipro, a project conceived by Stand With Ukraine.This future cultural center is part of a project by the Marioupol town council, supported by the French Embassy, to renovate 15,000 m² of former student accommodation. This project will accommodate 380 displaced families from Marioupol, and La Cantine de Marioupol will contribute to their human and social reconstruction by offering them a space for sharing and support.
