On Wednesday, March 12, the French National Assembly called on the European Union and its member states, through a resolution in support of Ukraine, to urgently seize and allocate all frozen and immobilized Russian assets to fund military support for Ukraine, its reconstruction, and the security of the continent.
Until now, only the interest generated by Russia’s frozen central bank assets has been used to finance Ukraine’s defense—an important first step, but still insufficient given Ukraine’s urgent needs.
We call on European leaders to make a historic decision: seize these funds to directly finance Ukraine’s defense.

As part of International Women’s Rights Day, the town of Sailly-lez-Lannoy, a French twin city of Semenivka in Ukraine, organized a weekend around the theme “Women in Times of War.”
