The abrupt disengagement of the United States serves as a stark reminder: Europe is now alone in ensuring its own defense against Russia’s aggressive militarism. It must take responsibility and strengthen its military capabilities to safeguard its security and that of its allies.
In this context, it is imperative to invest in European and French defense while providing Ukraine with the necessary weapons to bolster its defensive capabilities.
No one wants peace more than Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Ukraine aspires above all to a just peace and lasting security for all of Europe.
France must be a leading example, paving the way toward a fair and enduring peace.
