Central to the mission of Stand With Ukraine is the promotion of reliable information about Ukraine, as the image of the Ukrainian people in France has long been disconnected from the realities of the country. Stand With Ukraine has organized events to showcase Ukrainian culture and amplify the voices of refugees, in response to the occupying Russian forces’ efforts and disinformation campaigns aimed at erasing them. Notable past events organized by the association include gatherings during the early days of the war, concerts by Ukrainian musicians in France, and numerous conferences held in support of the Ukrainian cause.

Mykhailo Reva – Investigation of Evil

On the occasion of the sad 2nd anniversary of the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in France, the City Hall of the 15th arrondissement and Stand With Ukraine present sculptures by Mykhailo Reva, a famous sculptor from Odesa.The collection exhibited at the City Hall of the 15th arrondissement consists of war debris – shredded missile fragments, dented shell casings, twisted pieces of shrapnel – that bear witness to the war provoked by Russia in Ukraine. Reva describes the construction of these works as: “a puzzle made of horror and chaos”. This installation brings together two tons of remnants of munitions and wreckage from Russian drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, which have been secured for artistic use: the equipment as material.Reva’s art gives voice to the collective outrage over Russia’s attacks on Ukraine and especially Odesa, his hometown.About the artist:Mykhailo Reva, Ukraine’s most famous

“War. A Female Gaze”

The exhibition “War. A Female Gaze” is presented from February 24 at the Hôtel de Ville de Paris by the association Stand with Ukraine in tribute to the role of Ukrainian women in the war unleashed against their country. This event takes place in partnership with the Odesa Photo Days festival, created in 2015 to develop contemporary Ukrainian photography internationally and the Franco-Ukrainian association Amuse A Muse, which works to strengthen cultural ties between France and Ukraine.
