🙏🪖 December 6 has been celebrated every year in Ukraine, since 1993, to honor those who protect the country’s independence and sovereignty.
🗳 On December 6, 1991, a few days after the referendum on Ukrainian independence, the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament, adopted the first founding laws of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
✊ After the Dignity Revolution (2013-2014) and in the face of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea, a new page in the history of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has opened. Since the large-scale invasion in 2022, the Ukrainian army has reinvented itself, becoming a symbol of resilience and courage.
🌻 Today, we pay tribute to all the defenders, past and present, who fight for the freedom and integrity of Ukraine. Their courage is an inspiration to us all.
