On December 13, 2022, an exceptional charity evening was held in Paris at the prestigious Salle Pleyel, with Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, in attendance. Accompanied by a Ukrainian government delegation, this marked her first visit to France since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022. The main goal of the visit was to raise funds for the Olena Zelenska Foundation, which supports the victims of the war.

The evening brought together several French personalities, including director Michel Hazanavicius, actress Bérénice Bejo, and Rima Abdul Malak, Minister of Culture. Brigitte Macron, First Lady of France, also attended the event, emphasizing the importance of international solidarity with Ukraine.

A highlight of the evening was a concert by the Ukrainian group Dakh Daughters, who delivered a stunning performance titled Ukraine Fire.

The Olena Zelenska Foundation hopes for a massive mobilization of essential resources to address pressing humanitarian needs and contribute to the reconstruction of key infrastructure in the country. The evening’s objective was particularly focused on raising donations for the reconstruction of the central hospital in Izioum, which was severely damaged by the war.
