With the upcoming early legislative elections on June 30 and July 7, Stand With Ukraine calls on all political parties to reaffirm their solidarity with Ukraine by signing a support charter.
After urging candidates in the European elections to stand with Ukraine, Stand With Ukraine now asks candidates for the early legislative elections to reaffirm their solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
By signing this charter, candidates commit to:
✅ Act against any violation of democracy in Ukraine, as well as its sovereignty and territorial integrity, by strengthening diplomatic, financial, and military support to Ukraine.
✅ Support the delivery of all necessary weapons to Ukraine to defend its territorial integrity and restore its internationally recognized borders, including artillery, aircraft, medium and long-range missiles, and ammunition.
✅ Promote the creation of a €100 billion defense fund for the rearmament of Europe and the expansion of European defense industry production capacities.
✅ Work towards the seizure of nearly €200 billion in assets from the Russian central bank frozen within the European Union, to support Ukraine’s war efforts and ecological reconstruction.
✅ Support Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
✅ Fight against Russian disinformation and strengthen European mechanisms and initiatives to combat information manipulation and Russian interference in our democracies.
✅ Work towards a complete embargo on Russian oil, gas, and uranium.
✅ Assist Ukrainian authorities and international justice in prosecuting Russian war criminals, as well as those responsible for ecocide and aggression crimes.
✅ Strengthen sanctions against Russia and fight against their circumvention.
✅ Facilitate the reception of refugees from Ukraine.
French support is now crucial for Ukraine, and these legislative elections will be decisive in determining the future direction of France’s policy in the coming years.
These commitments express unwavering determination to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom, democracy, peace, and security—values essential to all of Europe. By signing this charter, signatories commit to actively working to strengthen France’s security in light of the challenges posed by the war in Ukraine.
Many candidates have supported Ukraine since 2022.
We call for an even broader coalition of political leaders from all backgrounds to take a stand and commit to Ukraine, reaffirming that Ukraine’s security is integral to France’s, Europe’s, and the world’s security.
