Special Screening of Ukrainian Short Films by Babylon’13 Collective

As part of the Babylon Villeneuve project, we are pleased to invite you to the screening of Ukrainian short films from the prestigious Babylon’13 collective at the L’Arlequin cinema in the 6th arrondissement of Paris!

✊ Babylon’13 is a collective of Ukrainian documentary filmmakers, founded in 2013, dedicated to defending civil society and human rights. Through their films, they aim to convey artistic images, emotions, and their worldview while informing audiences about the events unfolding in Ukraine.

🎦 The Babylon Villeneuve project was launched in cooperation with the Ukrainian House NGO, with the goal of bringing Ukrainian documentaries to French audiences. From February to June 2023, eight screenings of Babylon’13 works will be held in Paris, accompanied by exhibitions, discussions with directors from Ukraine, and musical performances. Each event aims to raise awareness of the situation in Ukraine while fostering connections between French and Ukrainian communities.

🎹 During this evening, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a live performance by Ukrainian composer and pianist Sasha Morozova, who will perform pieces she has composed during the eight years of war.

🖼 A charity auction of Ukrainian illustrations will also be held to raise funds for supporting Ukrainian volunteers.
