🇪🇺 In Brussels, as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, which aims to promote the sharing of best practices in favor of a territorial cohesion policy, we had the honor of organizing a breakfast bringing together mayors from rural French and Ukrainian municipalities. This event was co-created with Cities4Cities, which facilitates partnerships between Ukrainian towns and European municipalities, and with ELARD, the European LEADER association for rural development.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the many points of common ground between our two countries. Our respective experiences in rural development, community resilience and local management are valuable assets to be shared.
🏘️ Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, French communes have mobilized in exemplary fashion to support their Ukrainian counterparts. At Stand With Ukraine, we are proud to contribute to the creation of these strong ties and to the implementation of concrete projects that have a direct impact on local populations.
It’s thanks to these human relationships that we strengthen Franco-Ukrainian solidarity day after day.
