On Wednesday evening, at the Consulat Voltaire in Paris, the Mariupol Renaissance Chamber Orchestra delivered a timeless concert, blending classical and contemporary music, to mark three years of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
Founded over 35 years ago, this orchestra stands today as a powerful testament to the resilience of Mariupol’s artists and plays a vital role in Ukraine’s cultural resistance.
“Ukrainian culture, art, music, and beauty are powerful weapons against oblivion and destruction.” — Serhii Esaulov, Consul of Ukraine in France
All donations collected during the evening will be fully donated to La Cantine de Marioupol, our rehabilitation project for temporarily displaced people from Mariupol in Dnipro. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your generosity!
“The war in Ukraine has gone on for far too long. The Ukrainian people are facing darkness and demanding justice. They long for a just peace and recognition of the tragedy that has befallen us. Ukraine is the scene of war crimes, marked by the massacre of civilians. This is an attempt at genocide against the Ukrainian people.” — Vadym Boichenko, Mayor of Mariupol
